Item 7.01 — Regulation FD Disclosure.

On June 10, 2011, IDEX Corporation announced that it had completed its previously announced acquisition of CVI Melles Griot (“CVI”) for a purchase price of approximately $400 million, subject to closing adjustments. CVI is a global leader in the design and manufacture of precision photonic solutions used in the Life Sciences, Research, Semiconductor, Security and Defense markets.

A copy of the press release announcing the closing of the acquisition is attached as exhibit 99.1 hereto.

IDEX Announces Close of CVI Acquisition

LAKE FOREST, Ill., Jun 10, 2011 (BUSINESS WIRE) — IDEX Corporation (NYSE: IEX) announced today that it closed the acquisition of CVI Melles Griot. The Company previously announced that it had entered into a definitive purchase agreement by press release on May, 11 2011.
